This book is the fruit of long-term research undertaken by the ETBA Cultural Foundation, for the preservation of local technological tradition and the organisation of the permanent exhibition on silk in Soufli, which is housed in the Kourtidis Mansion. The subject is examined from a historical, economic, ethnographic, architectural and museological viewpoint.
