The story of young Petros unfolds in a village on theisland of Tinos, where daily life is dominated by the processing and uses of marble. Through the eyes and the experiences of a small boy, Dimitris Foussekis illustrates the everyday objects and the constructions made of marble presented in the story, as well as the tools used to shape it, the quarrying and carving methods and other aspects of the presence of marble in the local society.
