In the course of walking in rural Zakynthos, the author has recorded the pre-industrial agricultural facilities; grape-pressing installations-wineries, tsipouro (aquavit) stills and their parts, traditional olive-oil presses, horse-driven mills, windmills and finally, Zakynthian carts. This evidence is invaluable for understanding the organisation of agricultural production and economy, as well as the organisation of space in the recent past.
