Plexiglass paperweight with the photograph of the iconic photographer Takis Tloupas, “Women Carrying Hay.”
Takis Tloupas dedicated his life to capturing 20th-century Greece through his lens. From 1945 and for more than five decades, he photographed everyday life, professions, customs, and the landscapes of the entire country.
With sensitivity and insight, he documented moments and figures lost in time, serving as a visual chronicler of a changing Greece. As he himself said:
“Many times I saw things that others did not see, and I felt they would be lost. That’s how the agony of preservation was born within me.”
