1. What are cookies?

2. Which law is applicable?
Cookies are governed by the e-privacy Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC (which has been incorporated into Greek law by Law 3471/2006) as expressly provided for in the 2016/679 Data Protection Regulation recital 173.
According to the current law N3471/2006 (see article 4 paragraph 5 of this law as amended by article 170 of Law 4070/2012) "The installation of ‘cookies’ is allowed only with the consent of the user and after proper information".
For this reason, during the first visit of the user to our organization's website, pop-up windows appear where the visiting user can indicate his/her consent to the installation of the cookies specifically mentioned and these are non-functional cookies aimed at improving the services presented on the Website, such as for example: the User's rating or evaluation of products and services, the connection to social media, the adjustment of settings on audio and video players, cookies for statistical analysis of the number of visitors to the website and the number of pages viewed without direct identification of the User, advertising cookies with collection of information for online advertising purposes that fall within certain general categories or areas of interest of the User by examining the web pages he/she views and the selected links to other web pages.

• "Cookies" that are installed through plug-ins on social networking sites and pertain to the sharing of content between authenticated members who have already logged in.

4. How to control thecookies
You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer, and you can also configure most browsers to prevent cookies from being installed. However, in this case, you may have to adjust certain preferences yourself each time you visit a website, and some services may not work.
