Αγιορείτικη μεταλλοτεχνία [Metalworking on Mt Athos]

Metalworking in the monastic state of Athos from the 18th to the mid-20th century is interesting in many respects. The activities of its various sectors relate directly to daily life and production in general, on Mount Athos and the neighbouring or distant areas, with which the holy foundations are variously linked. This work, the outcome of long-term research, records and preserves the memory (buildings, machinery and technicians) over a period of two creative centuries.
